This painting represents this world and what can be in the next world.  The thistles that are full of thorns and the next layer of barbed wire represent the world we now live in.  As you gaze across an amber field it reminds us to clean our lives of the thorns in preparation of a less cumbersome existence.  The temple represents the covenants we make that allow us to gain exaltation.
